The blades is forged from carbon steel tempered to Rockwell c61 and is bedded in the body at 45ø. For best performance it should be honed prior to use. Made in the popular Hong Kong Style, it does not have a Western equivalent. The sweeping contour of the plane top makes it easy to hold and use, and its long length adds accuracy to your work. It is 15-3/4" x 3/4" with a 3/4" wide blade. Mujingfang Chinese Style Woodworking Planes - Approximately 20 years ago Mujingfang decided to begin producing high quality Chinese Style Planes. Previously, the manufacture of these planes was a cottage industry with little or no quality control. Mujingfang gathered the best planemakers from around the country and brought them to their Hong Kong factory from where they supplied master craftsmen throughout South East Asia.
