They are also the chisel of choice for trimming the ends of plugs and wooden nails. The blades have a thin, triangular shape, which offers minimal friction when used in a tight cut, such as cleaning-up the bottom of a sliding dovetail. The blade is a hand-forged lamination of "white" steel and wrought iron. Each blade is individually tempered to Rockwell c65ø to ensure a razor sharp edge. The "push" style handle is hand-turned from the best quality Akagashi (Japanese Red Oak). Each chisel is sent well sharpened with instructions for maintaining this edge. The overall length is 13˝ and the blade length is 3¼˝.
