He has been called the finest chisel maker in Japan. His unique forging process stretches and compresses the Hagane (high carbon white steel) prior to forge welding it to wrought iron. Mrs. Nishiki assists him in his work with the heavy sledge hammer. The handles are hand-turned from Japanese Red Oak.
