Fleur de Sel, French sea salt is cold smoked over oak chips obtained from seasoned 5 to 7 year old French oak wine barrels. Starting with salt crystals that are hand raked and ending with all natural smoking done in very small batches, this unique salt is hand–made from start to finish. The crystals are smoked to a light toasty brown giving a deep, smoky flavor without being bitter. The moist Fleur de Sel crystals readily absorb the natural flavors of the oak and chardonnay.
